My name is Chris Freestone and I first arrived on Koh Tao over seven years ago, and I have been working in the diving industry here ever since. I have conducted most of my teaching at Koh Tao Easy Divers, and still maintain a fulltime position here. I have also carried out a lot of my Instructor level credentials at some of the other reputable dive centers on the island. Having seen and been a part of the growing and changing diving industry here, has given me a wealth of experience and knowledge that can only be matched by a small number of individuals in this region.
Over the last few years I have concentrated more on the Pro Development of the industry. Working with Divemaster training and Instructor Development with some of the most recognized PADI Course Directors in the world. In June 2011 I completed the PADI Course Director Program in the Dominican Rep. My IDC’s are small groups, focused on preparing Instructor candidates for real world teaching.
