Serving wholesome Thai food based on the foundations of healthy living, Yin Yang’s fresh ingredients and experienced chefs combine to provide a real taste of Thailand. It is not unusual for diners to eat at Yin Yang several times throughout their stay on Koh Tao, such is the quality and variety of the dishes served there.
With fantastic flavours and cheap prices, Yin Yang is a very popular restaurant and can often be full, so particularly in peak season, you can expect to queue for a table if you have not made a reservation. The restaurant can accommodate up to around 50 diners at any one time, although tables are usually set up for groups of 4-6, so if you want to go with a larger group it’s a good idea to book in advance.
The menu at Yin Yang is extensive so it helps to have a bit of an idea what you want ahead of time, although classic Thai appetisers like spring rolls, ‘no name’, and somtam tohd (papaya salad) are sure to fill a small gap while you decide on a main course. Choose from a range of stir fries, curries and soups with a choice of chicken, pork, prawn, tofu, vegetable, or seafood ingredients.
Portion sizes are generous and represent excellent value, and the range of dishes available makes Ying Yang a great place to try something new by ordering several to share between your table. If you have any space left after your Thai feast, the dessert menu is very tempting and includes local favourites such as fresh coconut ice cream, mango sticky rice, and banana in coconut milk, as well as some western options like cheesecake and chocolate brownies.
Yin Yang offers a standard drinks menu of soft drinks, local beers, house wine, fruit shakes, and juices.
