Maya Beach Club

Location

Maya Beach Club is located on Sairee Beach, not far from Bans Diving.

Opening Hours

12 noon – 9 pm

Maya Beach Club is Koh Tao’s premier daytime beach lounge. It has a firm following of locals as well as being popular with tourists. With a prime spot right on south Sairee Beach, the bar is spacious and mostly open-air. There are some wooden tables and benches inside the bar area. Nevertheless, the majority of customers opt to unwind on the expansive and cozy wicker sun loungers by the beach. There is no charge for using the sun loungers at Maya Beach Club. However, it is anticipated that you will need to purchase beverages or food from the bar. If you are looking for a bit of respite from the sun, there are a couple of pagoda-style seating areas with cushions at either end of the bar. They offer an unspoiled view out over the ocean.

Drinks

At Maya Beach Club drinks are served throughout the day, and it is possible to order food from the grill most days too. Failing that, you can ask order from AC2 restaurant, which is right next door.  Drinks available include local and foreign bottled beers, Tiger draught beer, spirits, cocktails, shots, and soft drinks. Reduced happy hour pricing is applied to local beers, selected spirits, and cocktails every day between 4 pm – 7 pm.

Music

The Bar features music playing throughout the day, with a moderate and not overly intense volume. Often in the evenings, you will hear live DJ sets playing funky soul mixes. Maya is a great place to hang out and meet people. It has a western-facing position making it one of the most popular bars on the island for sunset sessions. Often there will be a game of frisbee on the go, and there is a free pool table inside.

Maya Beach Club is the main rental location for Stand Up Paddleboards, so if you’d like to rent one, just ask one of the staff. Paddleboards are available for rental by the hour, half-day, or full-day. All sessions come with a full introduction, a safety briefing, and a short lesson.
