Trip to Samui Immigration Office

Samui immigration office is now located in Maenam.

The closest pier is Maenam Lomprayah which is 3.5km from the office.

Seatran pier is a little farther away but if you plan to rent a bike to make the return trip to the office Seatran is a better option as they use the same pier for your Samui arrival & departure.

If you plan bike rental then we recommend the 06:30 Seatran then the 13:00 Seatran return to Koh Tao.

There is a cafe that rents out bikes directly opposite the Seatran area at Big Buddha, Bangrak.

Here are directions from Seatran;

TR from Seatran pier Drive 4.6 kms then TR at T junction traffic lights (signposted Nathon).

Keep driving straight for a further 3.6 kms then TL at the Family Mart.

Immigration is 500 ms on the right hand side.

Visa Application Notes; for a visa extension you need the completed TM7 form, 1900 baht, 1 passport photo, signed copies of picture page, departure card, last stamp in & visa page if you have one.

Overstay; Overstay payment must be made if you are late for extension, 500 baht per day.

I.e if your stamp finished on Tuesday 13th but you go to the late on Thursday 15th that’s 2 days = 1000 baht

If its a weekend/ National Thai holidays (office closed) you normally won’t pay overstay if you go on the very first day that they reopen following holidays. If you go the day after they reopen you pay overstay all the way back to the day your stamp finished.

Note if you have lost your departure card you can still apply for the extension, should be no problem. You’ll need to complete new departure card when you exit Thailand.

Note; they are always closed at weekends and national/ public Thai holidays.

Please download the Visa form here, print and fill it out for your trip to Samui Immigration. You can come to our office and we help prepare everything with you for a small charge 100 baht
