FAQ
Can I take one of the later night trains from Bangkok that departs around 22:30?
No, not if you want to be sure to connect with the first Lomprayah at 07:30 to Koh Tao as the transfer bus to the pier is leaving from Chumpon train station at around 05:30.I see from the train timetable that there is a train from Chumpon at 12:46 (just after noon) going to Bangkok. Is it possible to take the 10:15 Lomprayah from Koh Tao with transfer to make this train?
Not really, it’s a risky booking. You would need a private taxi waiting at the pier in Chumpon and even with the taxi plan in place if the ferry runs a bit late you miss the train and consequently lose your money. Is there luggage storage at Chumpon & Bangkok (Hua Lamphong) Train Stations?
Yes there are secure & cheap luggage storage facilities available there.
