Language barriers have the potential to cause misunderstanding and confusion. It’s always recommended to have a clear idea of what you want and, a picture you can show the staff. In general, barber services and hairdressers on Koh Tao are cheap. There are a few main options that tend to be recommended:
Eve Hair Studio
Eve Hair Studio has always been one of the most highly recommended hairdressers on Koh Tao. The shop itself has moved a couple of times over the years and is now located in Sairee. If you take the turn inland at the crossroads by 7-Eleven, the shop is located about 25 metres further up.
Eve and her staff speak great English and offer a full range of cutting and colouring services for people of all genders. They can also work with hair extensions and braids, and offer longer-term treatments such as chemical straitening too. Aside from hairdressing services, Eve Hair Studio also provides nails and makeup and is a popular choice for weddings and special events.

Bibi’s (Koh Tao Hair Salon)
Another favourite choice of hairdressers on Koh Tao, Bibi’s is located on the main road in Mae Haad on the bend going out of town towards Chalok Baan Kao, opposite the Thai Inter medical clinic and 7-Eleven.
Bibi’s is a friendly and professional service for both male and female cuts. Bibi’s English is great, and as well as hair cutting she offers a range of barber services such as beard trimming, razor shaving, and head shaving.

The Hair Cut Design Barber Shop
Located in Mae Haad next door to ChaiWat supermarket, The Hair Cut Design barbershop offers scissor and clipper cuts for men, as well as grooming options for beard trimming, razor shaving, and head shaving.
