Nui’s Bakery & Sandwiches specialises in organic food, and the team prides itself on the quality of its freshly baked bread. Because of the calibre of the baking at Nui’s, you’ll find many of the other cafes and restaurants on the island buy their bread supplies here, rather than making their own. 

The location of Nui’s Bakery & Sandwiches is on one of the quieter streets in Sairee. This combined with the modern, airy, and bright design of the shop makes it very welcoming. There is limited seating available, however, so many customers simply take their food down to the beach (which is less than 100 metres away) and enjoy it with a sea breeze and ocean view. 


The menu at the cafe comprises croissants, toasties, crostini plates, and sandwiches. All fillings and accompaniments are healthy, organic, and locally sourced wherever possible. With a range of meats, cheeses, and vegan options, there is plenty of choice on the fixed menu. You can also build your own sandwich by selecting your bread and fillings from the à la carte list. 

For those looking for a light bite, there are a couple of great value permanent special offers for coffee and a croissant – and Nui’s excellent homemade jam makes this a popular choice. If you are looking for a sandwich, the varieties of bread include sourdough, multigrain, ciabatta, brioche, butter loaf, and wholewheat. Buns and loaves are available to purchase for takeaway if you would like to take some home. 


The drinks menu at Nui’s Bakery & Sandwiches includes a range of coffees, frappes, and teas of all varieties including iced and matcha. Fresh cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and superfood smoothies add to the probiotic theme. Although regular soft drinks and even a couple of types of local beer are available.
