180 Viewpoint Bar

180 Viewpoint Bar is often referred to as Mango Bay Viewpoint, although it does not actually have a view over Mango Bay at all. Rather it looks out from the north over Sairee Beach and down the west coast of the island into Mae Haad Bay and beyond. Due to its elevated vantage point, you can even see through the valleys to the ocean at the south of the island at Chalok Baan Khao.

Access

180 Viewpoint Bar is relatively easy to access, although do be aware of you are driving that the road is very steep and some of it is not in great condition for much of the way. So unless you have a reliable Koh Tao rental scooter, it may be difficult to make it up the steepest sections with 2 people.

To reach 180 Viewpoint Bar you’ll need to follow the Hin Wong Bay road out of Sairee and take a left at the very top of the hill. There are signposts here for both Mango Bay and 180 Viewpoint Bar. At the top of a steep incline, you’ll reach Jim’s Bar, next to which is a dirt track turning on the right. Take this track for a couple of hundred metres and you’ll reach the parking area, right next to where you’d turn off to reach Grape View Viewpoint

Fees

There is a 100THB entrance fee to 180 Viewpoint Bar, which also covers entry to Summit Viewpoint Bar which is slightly further up the road.

Sunrise or Sunset?

Sunset. While 180 Viewpoint Bar does not face directly west, its elevated position promises amazing sunset views looking down the west coast of Koh Tao.
